Metalsmithing, Introduction. Learn the basics of metalsmithing while making this moth pendant. We will cut and solder a necklace pendant from reclaimed vintage serving trays. This is a great class to see if metalsmithing is for you. We’ll cover the basics of the craft and you’ll leave with a completely unique necklace pendant and knowledge of how jewelry is made and the skills are transferable to other future metalsmithing projects. The class is approximately 3 hours and suitable for all ages. No special skills or tools are required. All tools and materials supplied. Small class size up to six for individualized attention. Suitable for all ages. Approximately 3 hours. $145. What we’ll cover:

- cutting a piece from scrap materials with a jeweler’s saw
- soldering the two cut pieces 
- cleaning and finishing
- you’ll finish by adding jump rings and a chain.
